Haryana: Health Supervisor arrested by Vigilance Bureau for taking bribe of Rs 30,000

The Vigilance team raided the hospital and arrested the health supervisor while taking bribe of Rs 30,000. He said the matter was being investigated and no one would be spared found involved in the case.

Ambala: The State Vigilance Bureau has arrested a health supervisor while accepting a bribe of Rs 30,000.

Suresh Kaushik said the supervisor and other employees were taking bribe from the youth for providing employment in civil hospital Ambala City through outsourcing. On receiving complaints from the victims, the Vigilance SP formed a team and raided the hospital. The vigilance team arrested supervisor Sanjiv Kumar red-handed while accepting the bribe.

Kaushik said he received a complaint from one Rajesh of Yamnuanagar, alleging that supervisor Sanjiv and his colleagues were demanding money for appointment in the hospital.

Accordingly, the Vigilance team Monday raided the hospital and arrested Sanjiv while taking bribe of Rs 30,000. He said the matter was being investigated and no one would be spared found involved in the case.

He said the accused was produced in the court to get remand.

The Vigilance SP said the unemployed youth were being fleeced in the name of providing employment under outsourcing scheme.

Meanwhile, Health Minister Anil Vij criticised the outsourcing scheme of the government which had proved to be a cesspool of corruption and had defamed the government.

Taking notice of the Ambala City hospital case, Vij said he had been opposing the outsourcing scheme because it bred corruption. He said such cases were reaching to him but he had written to the government for winding up the scheme.

The scheme, he added, was aimed at exploitation and was a mother of corruption.
