Haryana to dismiss 140 doctors abstaining from duty for long

Chandigarh: The Haryana government has decided to dismiss 140 doctors who have been abstaining from duty for a long period, Health Minister Anil Vij said.
He also said the government has decided to create a special cadre for specialist doctors and a meeting of the departments concerned would soon be held over this.
"It has been decided to dismiss 140 doctors who have been abstaining from duty for a long time," he said here, adding, "it is because of this reason that new doctors could not be recruited and the patients suffered".
