MBBS: NMC gives last opportunity to Medical colleges to Submit Annual Declaration
New Delhi- For medical colleges across the country who were asked to submit their Annual Declaration details/data of respective Institutions on the National Medical Commission (NMC) portal as required in the NMC Act, 2019 and various other regulations, the NMC has now given them an extension as last opportunity to submit the required details.
Through a public notice, the National Medical Commission (NMC) has announced the extension of the last date for submission of details along with requisite fees including GST on the NMC portal till December 10, 2024.
Medical Dialogues had earlier reported Stating that no MBBS seats will be permitted if the medical college does not submit the Annual Declaration within a specific deadline, the Undergraduate Medical Education Board (UGMEB) of the National Medical Commission directed the medical colleges to submit the details along with requisite fee including GST on NMC portal by 30 November 2024.
Now, the deadline has been extended.
“It has been decided to extend the last date of submission of the details along with requisite fee including GST on NMC Portal to 10th December 2024”, the recent notice stated.
Sharing the notice of UG Medical Education Board of NMC, the Secretary of the Commission, Dr. B Srinivas issued a notice on 14.11.2024 and mentioned ,"Reference is cited to Public Notice No.15024/9/2023-UGMEB dated 28- 11-2024 issued by the Under Graduate Medical Education Board (UGMEB) on the subject mentioned above enclosed herewith. All concerned stakeholders are requested to kindly take note of the same.."
In its notice dated 28.11.2024, the UG Board of NMC informed, "Reference is invited to Public Notice of even number dated 1.11.2024 and 14.11.2024 in regard to uploading the Annual declaration details/data of respective institutions on NMC portal as required in the NMC Act, 2019 and various regulations issued by NMC from time to time, it has come to the notice that some colleges are yet to upload the details on the portal."
In its notice, Submission of Annual Declaration details/data is mandatory for all Medical Colleges/Institutions except those colleges granted Letter of Permission (LOP) in the year 2024 and have not admitted students in the college for the year 2024-25. Colleges/Institutes are hereby intimated that the permission for admission in MBBS Course for the Academic Year i.e. 2025-26 shall not be granted in case the Colleges/Institutions fail to submit the Annual Declaration Form.
"It has now been decided to extend the date of submission of Annual Declaration Form from 30.11.2024 to 10.12.2024. I am hereby directed to inform that, this may be treated as last opportunity to provide the required information to National Medical Commission which is mandatory as per the Chapter II of MSMER2023, failing to adhere to the required provisions of the above Regulation will also be subject to strict penalties as laid down in Chapter –II- of MSMER 2023.." Director UGMEB stated in the notice.
Earlier, the extension was given till today.
