MBBS: NMC Extends Deadline for medical colleges to submit Annual Declaration

New Delhi- In a relief to medical colleges across the country who were asked to submit their Annual Declaration details/data of respective Institutions on National Medical Commission (NMC) portal as required in the NMC Act, 2019 and various other regulations, the NMC has now given them an extension to submit the required details.
Through a public notice, the National Medical Commission (NMC) has announced the extension of the last date for submission of details along with requisite fees including GST on the NMC portal till November 30, 2024.
Medical Dialogues had earlier reported that Stating that no MBBS seats will be permitted if the medical college does not submit the Annual Declaration within a specific deadline, the Undergraduate Medical Education Board (UGMEB) of the National Medical Commission directed the medical colleges to submit the details along with requisite fee including GST on NMC portal by 15 November 2024.
Now, the deadline has been extended.
“It has been decided to extend the last date of submission of the details along with requisite fee including GST on NMC Portal to 30th November 2024”, the recent notice stated.
Sharing the notice of UG Medical Education Board of NMC, the Secretary of the Commission, Dr. B Srinivas issued a notice on 14.11.2024 and mentioned,"Please find enclosed Public Notice no. U-15024/9/2023-UGMEB dated 14th November, 2024 issued by the Under Graduate Medical Education Board (UGMEB) on the subject mentioned above. All concerned stakeholders are requested to kindly take note of the same."
In its notice, the UG Board of NMC informed, "In continuation of the Under Graduate Medical Education Board Public Notice of even number dated 01.11.2024 regarding submission of Annual Declaration details/data of respective Institutions on NMC portal as required in the NMC Act, 2019 and various regulations issued by NMC from time to time. It has now been decided to extend the last date of submission of the details along with requisite fee including GST on NMC Portal to 30th November, 2024."
"This extension applies to the submission of details and required data in compliance with the NMC Act, 2019, and related regulations. Medical colleges are required to submit information covering the period from November 1, 2023, to October 31, 2024. The submission should also include the requisite fee, including GST," the notice stated.
