New PG medical courses or seat increase: NMC sends communications to medical colleges on 214 more applications
New Delhi: Through a recent notice, the Medical Assessment and Rating Board (MARB) of the National Medical Commission (NMC) has issued communications in respect of 214 more online applications for starting new postgraduate medical courses and increase of seat intake in PG medical courses for the academic year 2024-2025.
The concerned institutes have been notified of the communications through email IDs for taking necessary action within the stipulated timeline. Among these 214 applications, 160 applications are for starting new PG medical courses and the rest of the 54 applications are for increase of PG medical seats.
This comes after the recent NMC notice dated 11.04.2024, through which the Apex Medical Commission notified about the request from 10 medical institutes for withdrawing their applications for starting and increase of PG medical seats.
Medical Dialogues had earlier reported that apart from notifying about the withdrawn of 34 applications from these 10 medical institutes, the Apex medical regulator had also informed that it sent communications in respect of 204 online applications for starting or increase of PG medical seats to the concerned medical institutes for information and necessary action by them within the stipulated timeline.
