National Medical Commission
New Delhi: To process applications for the annual renewal of MBBS seats for the academic year 2026-27, the National Medical Commission (NMC) has directed all existing medical colleges/institutes holding a valid Letter of Permission (LoP) for MBBS courses to submit the Annual Disclosure Report on the NMC portal.
The submission of annual disclosure reports is required under Regulation 4 of the Maintenance of Standards of Medical Education Regulations, 2023 (MSMER 2023).
The Commission has set the deadline for submitting the required details along with the applicable fee, including GST, on the NMC portal as 30th May 2026 and strictly clarified that no extension will be granted beyond the deadline.
In a public notice issued on 13.5.2026, the Under Graduate Medical Education Board (UGMEB) of NMC mentioned, "All existing NMC-approved medical colleges/institutes holding a valid Letter of Permission (LoP) to conduct the MBBS course are hereby directed to submit the Annual Disclosure Report, as required under Regulation 4 of the Maintenance of Standards of Medical Education Regulations, 2023 (MSMER 2023), on the NMC portal. This submission is necessary for processing their application for annual renewal of MBBS seats for the academic year 2026–27."
Along with this direction, the Board informed that colleges and institutes that have not registered their AEBAS with the NMC will not be able to access the portal. The username and password for each medical college have already been shared with the respective nodal officers.
Additionally, the UGMEB stated that a detailed user manual has been made available on the portal to provide step-by-step guidance to users. The Commission advised colleges to thoroughly read the “User Manual” available on the NMC portal for clear guidance.
"All information submitted by colleges on the designated portal must be accurate and consistent, with no discrepancies between the data shared with different Boards of the NMC. Once the application is submitted, colleges will not be able to edit the information. The data and details provided may also be made public at any time, if deemed appropriate by the NMC," the notice read.
The portal for submission of the annual declaration by colleges can be accessed at the given URL. Regarding the application fee, the Board informed that the required fee of Rs. 3,54,000 (inclusive of 18% GST) must be paid online exclusively by all medical colleges through the portal’s payment gateway, along with the application for permission to admit Under Graduate medical seats for the academic year 2026–27. No other mode of payment will be accepted.
"The deadline for submitting the required details along with the applicable fee, including GST, on the NMC portal is 30th May 2026. No extensions will be granted beyond this date. Technical information/queries, if any, should be sought. Please treat this as most urgent and important. This issues with the approval of the Competent Authority," the notice added.
Referring to this, the National Medical Commission wrote to the Director/Principal/Dean of all Medical Colleges/Institutions under NMC, informing about the submission of the Annual Disclosure Report by existing Medical Colleges for the annual renewal of MBBS seats for AY 2026-27.
"Reference is invited to Public Notice dated 13-05-2026 as issued by the UnderGraduate Medical Education Board (UGMEB) of National Medical Commission (NMC) on the above subject matter, being self-explanatory, inter alia, directed all existing NMC-approved medical colleges/institutes to submit the Annual Disclosure Report for processing of their applications for annual renewal of MBBS seats for the AY 2026-27 by the stipulated deadline date i.e. 30th May, 2026.
