NMC withdraws public notice seeking affidavit for recognition to medical colleges
New Delhi: The National Medical Commission (NMC) has withdrawn its previous notice whereby it sought an affidavit from the medical colleges to allow recognition or continuation of recognition of MBBS seats.
Earlier in September, after the declaration of NEET 2022 results, the NMC had allowed the due renewal of permission and recognition or continuation of recognition to all medical colleges based on a sworn affidavit for the academic year 2022-2023 duly signed by the medical colleges' authorities. However, the NMC warned the institutes that surprise inspections would be conducted as per their track record and decisions will be taken according to the assessment reports.
Now, withdrawing the said notification, the NMC has declared that the public notice "seeking sworn affidavit for the purpose of recognition and continuation of recognition for the Academic Year 2022-23 stands withdrawn."

"All government/private medical colleges, who have applied for the Renewal of annual intake or increase intake of MBBS seats for the Academic Year 2022-23 are requested to send affidavit in the prescribed format in original (hard copy) latest by 08.10.2022, failing which, the college will not be considered for renewal of permission for for A Y 2022-23," stated the NMC notice.
