Lucknow: The Sanjay Gandhi Postgraduate Institute of Medical Sciences (SGPGIMS), Lucknow has released Vacancies for Senior Resident on Adhoc Basis in the Department of Ophthalmology. The selection will be done on the basis of a Walk In Interview.

SGPGIMS is Super-Speciality teaching and training Medical Institution, situated to the Southeast of Lucknow city on Lucknow-Raebareli Road. Emergency Medicine is a specialty dedicated to the diagnosis and treatment of unforeseen illness or injury. Initial evaluation, diagnosis, treatment, and disposition of any patient requiring expeditious medical, surgical, or psychiatric care are part of EM.

What are the General Instructions?

Interested candidates are required to appear for a walk-in-interview 

The candidates must bring the following documents for submission

1. A demand Draft of Rs. 200/- in favor of "Director SGPGI Academic Account". Payable at SBI, SGPGIMS Branch, Lucknow

2. Four passport size Photographs

3. Curriculum Vitae

4. Self-certified photocopies of all relevant Certificate and Testimonials

5. Age proof certificate Candidates should fill the prescribed form available at the site of the Institute.

The institute has more than 190 faculty members in 29 academic departments. The academic departments are engaged in teaching, training, patient care, and research. The institute has a hospital-wide computer network with more than 500 computers spread all over the hospital and departments. Internet connections are available in all the departments. All faculty members, residents, and students are provided with e-mail facilities. All the patient care activities are computerized, and the institute was the first amongst all government hospitals in India to implement the Oracle-based HIS system in 1997. The old HIS is now being replaced by a higher capacity internet-based HIS- which will be fully integrated with the PAX and telemedicine network, besides providing an opportunity to patients to access their medical records and reports from their homes in a secure and convenient manner. Patients would also be able to more easily schedule consultations, tests, and surgery from their home, and deposit money for those.
