Hypertension control in Kerala, India: A prescription-based study

Kerala has an estimated population of over 3 crores as per the consensus conducted in 2011. The state experiences high cardiovascular mortality and high prevalence of hypertension and diabetes mellitus.
So to confirm this finding, researchers conducted a prescription-based study in primary and secondary care hospitals in Kerala including both public and private institutions. One practitioner was selected from each institution. Data was collected using a structured questionnaire.
