Chhattisgarh Govt to set up 15 new Medical Colleges
Raipur: In an upcoming major boost to medical education in the state, the Chhattisgarh government has decided to set up 15 new medical colleges across the state after receiving approval from the central government for a special funding allocation of Rs 4,400 crore aimed at development and reform initiatives in Chhattisgarh.
At present, Chhattisgarh is home to 14 medical colleges, which include 11 government institutions, 1 AIIMS (All India Institute of Medical Sciences), and 3 private colleges. The addition of 15 new medical colleges will bring the total number in the state to 29.
