GMC Amravati Gets NMC Show-cause notice over deficiencies
The National Medical Commission (NMC) has issued a show-cause notice to the Government Medical College in Amaravati over inadequate infrastructural facilities and faculty shortage.
In its inspection report, the Apex Medical Education Regulatory Body has highlighted that the college has less than 50 percent of the teaching staff prescribed in NMC's Maintenance of Standard Medical Education Regulations 2023, Rule 8, Live Nagpur has reported.
Further, the Commission has also issued directions to the medical college to immediately start the recruitment process to fill up the vacant posts at the medical college.
