NMC Proposes MBBS Seat Hike, NEET Round 2 Counselling begins Aug 29: MCC
Through a notice, the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has informed that, as per the information received from the National Medical Commission (NMC), the process of increasing MBBS seats for the academic session 2025 is in progress. Therefore, on this, MCC has extended the National Eligibility and Entrance Test-Undergraduate (NEET UG) Round 2 Counselling dates for the academic year 2025.
According to the notice, to include newly authorised MBBS seats in the NEET UG Round 2 Counselling for the academic year 2025, the competent authority has decided to start Round 2 of UG Counselling 2025 from 29th August 2025, tentatively. However, the revised schedule for Round 2 will be published shortly.
