Constipation is a common problem in pediatric age with prevalence ranging from up to 29% normal frequency and consistency of stool varies with children`s age, and diet; there is also considerable variation across children.

In today’s video, to talk to us in detail on how to manage this condition in children, we have Dr. Lavenya R Padmanaban, Consultant- Paediatric Gastroenterology and Hepatology at Rainbow Children's Hospital, Marathahalli, Bangalore.

She completed her MBBS from Coimbatore Medical College and MD Pediatrics from the Institute of Child Health and Hospital for Children, Madras Medical College. Subsequently in the UK she completed MRCPCH and trained in Pediatric Gastroenterology and Hepatology at King`s College Hospital NHS Trust, London.

She has vast experience in managing children with common ailments and good expertise in managing children with complicated gastrointestinal and liver disorders.
