NEET UG 2026: NTA Extends Bank Details Update Deadline For Fee Refund

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has said that today (July 7) is the last opportunity for NEET UG 2026 candidates to confirm or update their bank account details to receive the examination fee refund. Refunds have already begun for candidates who successfully verified their bank details, while others will be included in the next refund cycle after updating their information. The refund process follows the cancellation of the original May 3 NEET UG 2026 examination over the alleged paper leak and the conduct of the re-examination on June 21. NTA has urged candidates to verify their account details carefully before the deadline to avoid missing the refund.

Candidates can update their bank details by logging into the official NEET UG portal, completing the two-factor authentication process and confirming their account information, reports GoodReturns.

NTA warned that incorrect or incomplete details could delay or prevent refunds. Meanwhile, the Re-NEET UG 2026 result is expected to be declared by July 20. The agency has assured that the revised examination schedule will not affect the overall medical admission and counselling timeline.

Bryan Johnson Diagnosed With Rare Autoimmune Stomach Disease, Shares Health Update

Tech entrepreneur and longevity enthusiast Bryan Johnson has revealed that he has been diagnosed with autoimmune gastritis (AIG), a rare condition in which the immune system mistakenly attacks the stomach lining. The 48-year-old, known for spending millions on anti-ageing therapies, said years of unexplained low iron levels led to extensive testing, including endoscopy, blood tests and biopsies, which confirmed the diagnosis. Johnson said his iron deficiency has been corrected with intravenous iron, but there is currently no cure for the disease, according to an NDTV report.

Johnson said his team will closely monitor the condition while exploring experimental immune-based therapies, including AI-designed antibodies that may target harmful immune cells. He also reflected on his unhealthy lifestyle during his younger years, saying chronic stress and poor diet may have contributed to his health problems. Doctors explain that autoimmune gastritis gradually damages acid-producing stomach cells, leading to iron and vitamin B12 deficiency. Treatment mainly focuses on correcting nutritional deficiencies, monitoring complications and managing symptoms.
