PM Modi inaugurates AIIMS Nagpur built at cost of Rs 1575 crore

The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi dedicated to the nation, AIIMS Nagpur on Sunday. The Prime Minister also took a walkthrough of the Nagpur AIIMS Project Model and witnessed Milestone Exhibition Gallery that was showcased on the occasion.

The Prime Minister's commitment to strengthening health infrastructure across the country will be strengthened through the dedication of AIIMS Nagpur to the nation. The Hospital, whose foundational stone was also laid by the Prime Minister in July 2017, has been established under the Central sector scheme Pradhan Mantri Swasthya Suraksha Yojana.

BAMS, BUMS doctors to be employed at Maharashtra PHCs, CHCs at Rs 25,000 Pm salary, IMA sees Red

Ayush doctors in Maharashtra will now work in the health and welfare centres (HWCs) in rural areas of the States under the Ayushman Bharat Project. In this regard, the National Health Mission Maharashtra has already invited applications from the BAMS and BUMS doctors.

While these doctors will first be trained for six months, and receive Rs 10,000 per month during the period of certification, after they will receive appointment in the HWCs and draw a monthly salary of Rs 25,000 for full-time duty on contractual basis.

Bond of Rs 1 lakh necessary for BAMS admission in West Bengal

It has now become mandatory for the medical students willing to pursue Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (BAMS) courses from the J.B.Roy State Ayurvedic Medical College & Hospital, Kolkata to execute a notarized bond of Rs 1 lakh before taking admission to the said course.

The Ayush branch of West Bengal State Health and Family Welfare Department recently announced about this decision while writing to the Director of Ayurveda in this regard.

NMC setting up panel of experts to support ethics board, invites nominations from medical colleges

The National Medical Commission is going to create a panel of experts to offer comments on the appeals made against the decision of the State Medical Councils. For the same, the NMC has sought details of eligible professors, additional professors and associate professors.

Experts from different fields of specialties including Cardiology, Obs & Gynae, Oncology, Urology etc having 6 years or more of teaching experience will be part of this panel, the Ethics and Medical Registration Board of NMC has recently informed.
