NEET UG counselling 2022: MCC warns candidates against fake notice circulating on social media

Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has clarified about a fake notice being circulated on social media regarding NEET UG counseling 2022-23.

As per the notice, it has come to the notice of MCC and MoHFW that a fake notice purportedly dated 10.01.2023 issued by MCC is being circulated in social media. MCC clarifies that no such notice has been issued.

The fake notice states that the "Medical Counselling Committee of DGHS will conduct a special stray vacancy round for the vacant UG (MBBS/BDS) seats of All India Quota/Central University /Central Institute/Deemed University/UG in online mode the last date of admission is 20.1.2023. Since Medical Counselling Committee is in receipt of representations from several sates regarding extension of last date of admission for UG counselling 2022 -23, the competent authorities have decided that the timeline for AIQ counselling & state counselling should be on same lines. Therefore, all the state counselling authorities are hereby informed that last date of admission/counselling for state quota is extended till 20.1.2023."

Relief for NEET PG Candidates: NBE extends internship deadline to June 30, 2023

Addressing the concerns of hundreds of medicos who were afraid of losing the opportunity to appear in NEET PG 2023 exam due to the deadline for completing MBBS Internship, the National Board of Examinations (NBE) has now extended the internship deadline to June 30, 2023.

While the rumours of NBE extending the deadline were spreading on the social media for last two days, the natboard has finally issued the official notice in this regard today.

NMC gives deadline to medical colleges to submit PG Medical, Super Speciality admissions info online

The National Medical Commission (NMC) has directed all the medical colleges to online fill the information relating to the admission made in medical college/ postgraduate institutes for postgraduate medical broad specialty and super specialty courses based on NEET PG 2022 and NEET SS 2022 counselling.

Medical Counselling Committee had announced that a special stray vacancy round for the vacant PG (MD/MS/ Diploma) seats will be conducted, with the last admission date being 14th January 2023. Further, the state counseling authorities also have to complete the process of admission/counseling for the State Quota by 14th January 2023. Also, the students for super specialty courses had to report by 12th January 2023 after the 2nd round of counseling.

The production licence of Noida-based pharmaceutical firm Marion Biotech, allegedly linked with the deaths of children in Uzbekistan, has been suspended while the test results of its controversial cough syrup are awaited, an Uttar Pradesh drug official said Thursday.A team of central agencies and the Uttar Pradesh drug department on Thursday carried out a fresh inspection at Marion Biotech's office here, a day after the World Health Organisation (WHO) issued a medical product alert on Ambronol and Dok-1 Max syrups, both manufactured by the firm.
