NEET candidate dies by suicide in Kota; 13th incident in 6 months
In a shocking incident, a 21-year-old NEET aspirant from Bihar allegedly committed suicide in Kota after failing to get desired marks in the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET) in two successive attempts, officials said on Saturday.
This is the second suicide case reported in the city this month. Five such suicide cases have already been reported in May, while there have been 12 cases in total since the beginning of the year. At least 15 students took to the extreme step in 2022.

No MBBS admissions after August 30 of each year under any circumstances: NMC
Setting a deadline for MBBS admissions, the Undergraduate Medical Education Board (UGMEB) of the National Medical Commission (NMC) has directed the medical universities to ensure that there is no MBBS admission in respect of any academic session beyond August 30 of the respective year.
Apart from this, the Apex medical education regulatory body has also issued directions to the universities to organise admission timing and admission process in a manner so that the first Professional year of MBBS course commences by the 1st of August of each year.
NMC has warned that it may discharge any such student who gets admitted after the last date for closure of admission and also cancel their medical qualification.

National Board of Examinations (NBE) has announced the result cum scorecard for NEET- PG and NEET MDS 2023-All India 50% Quota Seats.
NEET-PG 2023 was conducted on 5th March 2023 and the result was declared on 14th March 2023. NEET-MDS 2023 was conducted on 1st March 2023 and the result was declared by NBEMS on 10th March 2023. The merit list in respect of admission to All India 50% quota MD/MS/Post Graduate Diploma Courses and MDS Courses (2023-24 admission session) has been declared and can be seen at NBEMS website
Individual scorecard for NEET-PG 2023 All India 50% quota seats will be available for download at NEET-PG on/after 28th June 2023. Individual scorecard for NEET-MDS 2023 All India 50% quota seats will be available for download at NEET-MDS on/after 26th June 2023.

Bringing good news to the medical aspirants, three new private medical colleges with 150 MBBS seats each are set to begin academic sessions from 2023-24 following the approval of the Union Government.
The three new medical colleges include Ananya College of Medicine and Research at Kalol in Gandhinagar, SAL Institute of Medical Sciences at Sola Road in Ahmedabad, and Swaminarayan Institute of Medical Sciences and Research at Kalol in Gandhinagar.
Medical Dialogues team had earlier reported that a huge number of 50 new medical colleges have been approved this year with an intake capacity of 8,195 MBBS seats.
