NEXT from 2023, regulations to be published soon: NMC in RTI response

Responding to a Right to Information (RTI) application, which is doing rounds on the social media, the National Medical Commission (NMC) has recently clarified that the National Exit Test (NExT) is going to be implemented from 2023.

In the RTI reply, NMC, the Apex medical education regulatory body has also clarified that the NExT regulations will soon be published and following that, the modalities of the NExT, the common exit test for the MBBS graduates, will be clear.

NEET question paper mix up: Health Minister agrees to re-exam at Rajasthan's exam centre

As some discrepancies were found during the conduct of NEET 2022 examination held at Army Public School in Sriganganagar district in Rajasthan on Sunday, the Central government has agreed to reconduct the test at the exam centre.

The re-exam date is yet to be announced.

Health ministry directs all Central government hospitals to go paperless

The Ministry of Health has directed all Central government hospitals to go paperless. As per the official source, hospitals have been asked to maintain digital files and use E-office.

Most Central government hospitals have also started training for their employees to be able to seamlessly adapt to the new system.


NEET SS 2021: MCC to conduct special mop up round 2 counselling for 748 vacant seats

The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) is going to conduct a special Mop-Up round 2 for NEET SS 2021 qualified candidates as over 748 Super Speciality seats are vacant even after the completion of 4 rounds of Counselling.

Issuing a notification to this effect, the counselling body stated that this year Medical Counselling Committee of DGHS conducted 2 rounds of Super Specialty (DM/ MCh/ DNB SS) seats followed by a Mop-up round and a Special Mop Up Round. However, still, 748 Super Speciality seats are vacant even after the completion of 4 rounds of Counselling
