ICMR study says no link between sudden deaths and Covid shots

India's leading medical research body, the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), has conducted a study refuting claims that Covid-19 vaccination is linked to unexplained sudden deaths. The research focused on individuals aged 18-45 years and found no evidence associating such deaths with Covid-19 vaccination. Instead, the study highlighted other potential causes, including the disease itself, binge drinking, and intense exercise.

The study, published in the Indian Journal of Medical Research, examined 29,171 sudden deaths among young individuals, with 729 cases scrutinized, including 2916 control subjects without known co-morbidities. The majority (87%) of participants had received at least one dose of Covid-19 vaccination, and the study did not indicate any positive association with unexplained sudden deaths.
