NEET counselling 2021 registrations: MCC clarifies on OTP issue

Through a recent notice, the Medical Counselling Committee, MCC of DGHS, has clarified on the issue of OTP being faced by NEET 2021 candidates who are applying for counselling at the MCC portal.

The counselling body has been receiving many e mails from candidates participating in Round-1 of UG Counselling 2021 regarding OTP not being received on their respective mobile numbers at the time of registration.

 Illegal recruitment allegations: HC issues notice to state, GMC

Alleging illegalities in the recruitment drive conducted by Goa Medical College and Hospital, a plea in Bombay High Court at Goa has sought a large-scale investigation by an expert agency or judicial committee, in the recruitment process undertaken by the institute and Directorate of Health Services.

While considering the matter, which has also challenged the Goa Staff Selection Commission (Amendment) Act, 2021, the High Court bench comprising of Justices Sadhana S. Jadhav and Manish Pitale has issued notices to the State Government and the GMC on Thursday, report TOI.

Homeopathy practitioner arrested after patient allegedly given allopathy drugs dies

A doctor of homeopathy has been arrested for allegedly administering wrong injection to a man, which led to his death, in Madhya Pradesh's Khandwa district, police said today.

The doctor, who runs a clinic in Sindhi Colony, was arrested on Friday under the relevant provisions of the IPC and MP Ayurvigyan Parishad Adhiniyam, city superintendent of police (CSP) Lalit Gathre said.

Novo Nordisk India launches Oral Semaglutide for diabetes treatment

Drug firm Novo Nordisk India on Thursday said it has launched a first of its kind diabetes treatment medication in the country. The company said it has introduced the world's first and only oral semaglutide, a game-changer in diabetes management.

Semaglutide, a GLP-1 receptor analogue (GLP-1 RA) - one of the drug classes to treat diabetes, till now was available only in the form of injections and this is the first time such medication has been developed in an oral form.
