NEET 2024 controversy: Supreme Court delays hearing on alleged OMR manipulation by NTA officers
Amid the uproar regarding the alleged paper leak in the National Eligibility-Entrance Test Undergraduate (NEET-UG) 2024 examination, a plea alleging the involvement of the National Testing Agency (NTA) officers in manipulating the OMR sheets was listed before the Supreme Court.
However, the Vacation Bench of the Supreme Court comprising Justices Manoj Misra and S.V.N. Bhatti adjourned the matter to next week and asked the petitioner to withdraw a similar plea filed before the High Court.

NEET PG 2024 exam date to be declared next week: NBE president
Following the postponement of NEET PG 2024 slated for June 23, 2024, and the consequent review of the exam process by the top officials from the Union Health Ministry and the National Board of Examinations (NBE), the NBE President has announced that the next date for the examination will be declared by next week.
Dr Abhijat Sheth, President, the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) also said that the SOPs and protocols will be reviewed as soon as possible.

Internships cancelled for 3 FMGs by Rajasthan Medical Council for submitting fake degrees
Taking action against three foreign medical graduates (FMGs) who submitted fake documents, the Rajasthan Medical Council (RMC) has cancelled their internships.
This came to light during the verification process conducted by the medical council in May, 2024. Confirming this development, the registrar of RMC Dr. Rajesh Kumar Sharma informed that the internship of Raj Kumar Meena, Ankur Kumar, and Himanshu Chauhan were cancelled, TOI has reported.

A recent study conducted by researchers at Soochow University and published in BMC Public Health suggested that incorporating a regular cup of coffee into your daily routine might mitigate the long-term health risks associated with sedentary behaviour, such as sitting for prolonged periods.
Years of inactivity, such as sitting in an office chair or lounging on a couch, can have detrimental health effects, but coffee consumption appears to offer some protective benefits.
