Amid the growing tension in Ukraine after attack by Russia, thousands of Indian Medical Students who are stuck in the war situation cried for help to the government and requested for their safe return to India.

As per estimates, more than 20,000 Indians are currently staying in Ukraine including thousands of medical students who are pursuing their medical education in the Ukraine based medical universities.

TEQ Rules 2022: NMC spells out foreign PG medical qualifications for equivalence

For doctors, who have PG medical qualifications from foreign countries and intend to enter into a teaching career in India, the National Medical Commission (NMC) has spelt out the basic requirements in its newly released "Teachers Eligibility Qualifications in Medical Institutions Regulations 2022".

Comprehensively laying down the fundamentals for standardising recruitment of doctors towards their entry into medical academia, these TEQ Regulations 2022 published via a gazette issued by the NMC's PG Medical Education Board, are enforceable from February 14th this year.

No resignation is accepted in or after round 2 NEET, NEET PG counselling 2021: MCC

Through a recent notice, the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has clarified that no resignations are allowed once the candidate is a part of round 2 of NEET and NEET PG Counselling for this academic year's medical admissions.

It is for the information of all the candidates & institutes participating in UG /PG Counselling 2021-22 that no resignation is accepted in/after round 2 of counselling.

Cipla gets CDSCO panel nod to conduct Indian trials of Paxlovid

In a significant development, drug-major Cipla has got a green signal from the Subject Expert Committee (SEC) of the Central Drugs Standard Control Organization (CDSCO) to conduct local trials on the anti-Covid-19 pill Paxlovid.

The SEC of the Central Drugs Standard Control Organization has granted Cipla permission to perform bioavailability and bioequivalence (BA/BE) trials for the anti-Covid-19 pill Paxlovid, as per the report published by ET.
