PG Medicos can appear in final exams without completing online course in research methods: NMC
Providing relief to the postgraduate medical students appearing for the final year examination 2023, the National Medical Commission has allowed them to appear in the examination without completing the online course in Research Methods.
However, the Post Graduate Medical Education Board (PGMEB) of NMC has also clarified that this relief is being offered to the PG medicos on one condition that the result will be declared only after passing of Basic Course in Biomedical Research (BCBR) online course.

Upset over the unresolved issue regarding the academic activities at the ophthalmology department, the resident doctors of JJ Hospital, Mumbai are continuing their indefinite strike.
Writing to State Minister of Medical Education, Shri Girish Mahajan, the Maharashtra State Association of Resident Doctors has demanded that the resignation of Dr TP Lahane and Dr Ragini Parekh has to be accepted immediately and the authorities will have to recruit new faculties for the posts of Professor or HOD.

After NMC halts fresh MBBS admissions, BFUHS cancels affiliation of Chintpurni Medical College
Following the National Medical Commission's decision of debarring Chintpurni Medical College and Hospital (CMCH) for fresh MBBS admissions this year, now the Baba Farid University of Health Sciences (BFUHS) has cancelled the affiliation of the medical institute.
Confirming the same, the Registrar of the University Dr. Nirmal Ouseppachan has informed The Tribune that the affiliation has been revoked since the medical college was not complying with the standards set by the apex medical education regulatory body.
