NEET PG 2022 counselling expected to commence from September 19

Putting an end to the long wait by the aspirants of Postgraduate medical courses, the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) might commence the counselling for the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test Postgraduate (NEET-PG) 2022 Examination from September 19, 2022, official sources have informed PTI recently.

Besides, a similar possibility has been expressed by the Federation of All India Medical Association (FAIMA) after the FAIMA executives along with doctors from AIIMS Delhi and RML recently attended a meeting with the DGHS.

13 doctors nominated to National Medical Commission advisory body, details

Through a recent notice, the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare has notified about the new nominated members for National Medical Commission from the State Health Universities and the Medical Councils.

Referring to the Section 11 of the National Medical Commission Act, 2019 which mentions about the Central Government constituting an advisory body called the Medical Advisory Council, the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare has nominated altogether 13 new members for the same.

Bharat Biotech chairman says Intranasal Vaccine INCOVACC will be global game changer

Bharat Biotech's iNCOVACC, the world's first intranasal vaccine for Covid-19 which received approval for emergency use in India on Tuesday, will be a global game changer in intranasal vaccines technology and delivery systems, the vaccine maker's Chairman and Managing Director Dr. Krishna Ella said.

Bharat Biotech International Ltd (BBIL), a global leader in vaccine innovation and developer of vaccines for infectious diseases, announced that iNCOVACC (BBV154), has received approval under restricted use in emergency situations for ages 18 and above.

NMC permits Ukraine-returned Indian medical students to continue education in other countries

Bringing relief to foreign medicos hit by the Russia-Ukraine war, the National Medical Commission (NMC) has given its 'No Objection' to the Academic Mobility Program for Indian medical students who are enrolled in Ukraine medical institutes provided that other criteria of Screening Test Regulations 2002 are fulfilled. With this, all such medicos who had returned from war-torn Ukraine will now be allowed to relocate to universities in other countries and complete their studies.

Considering the special circumstances, the apex medical regulator agreed to recognize the programme offered by Ukraine to allow such students to complete their education as the degree will be awarded by the parent Ukrainian university only.
