2 Doctors suspended for performing hysterectomy instead of ENT surgery
Taking serious cognizance of the alleged botched surgery, the Jammu and Kashmir Government has suspended two doctors who were accused of medical negligence by mistakenly removing the uterus of a patient, who had been admitted for an ENT surgery.
Issuing an order, the Government suspended Dr. Nazir, consultant Gynaecologist at SDH Sopore, and Dr. Dar, the Medical Officer (Diploma in Anaesthesia), DH Bandipora. The operation theatre of the private hospital in Sopore was also sealed after the alleged incident, Kashmir Reader has reported.
