The Kidney racket suspects used "motivational videos" to lure victims into selling their vital organs. It was portrayed that it would give them instant relief from all financial problems.
Police said three members of the gang held so far had also sold their kidneys earlier. "When the victims asked about the survival rate, the three would point to themselves and assure them nothing would go wrong," a source said, adding that the accused sometimes used to pose as members of a health organisation.
