Eighteen of twenty-two AIIMS now fully operational, MoS Health tells Parliament

Out of the 22 All India Institutes of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) approved across the country, 18 are currently functional, while 4 are at different stages of construction, according to the information shared by Minister of State for Health and Family Welfare, Prataprao Jadhav, in the parliament.

The four AIIMS that are currently not functional are AIIMS Darbhanga in Bihar, where pre-investment work is underway; AIIMS Majra (Rewari) in Haryana; AIIMS Awantipora in Jammu and Kashmir; and AIIMS Madurai in Tamil Nadu. Of these, three institutes are still under construction.
