Govt doctors can now form start ups, hold adjunct positions in firms
Indian Council of Medical Research ( ICMR) has announced that doctors and medical professionals can now pursue entrepreneurial ventures by forming start-up companies, or by taking adjunct position in a firm. They can even grab the position of non-executive director, or scientific advisor.
This provision is a part of a new policy push by the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR)/ Department of Health Research (DHR), which was released on Thursday by the Union Health Ministry.
