The Tamil Nadu Assembly passed a unanimous resolution on Friday urging the Centre to abolish the NEET exam in the state and allow admissions to medical courses based on Class 12 marks. This resolution, moved by Chief Minister MK Stalin, was passed despite an Opposition walkout.
Stalin emphasized that the ruling DMK will continue to oppose NEET, which is under scrutiny for alleged irregularities in exam conduct. He highlighted support from various leaders, including Rahul Gandhi and Akhilesh Yadav, and argued that NEET disadvantages rural students and undermines school education.
