NMC removes bank guarantees for 14 PG medical courses

In a major move to promote certain neglected PG Medical Specialisations across the country, the apex medical regulator has now done away with bank guarantees for medical colleges intending to start these courses. Besides this, through a recent notice, the National Medical Commission ( NMC) has also announced the rationalisation of the Bank Guarantee rates for medical colleges offering PG Medical courses in various specialisations.

The rates are revised for Bank Guarantees mandatorily to be furnished by the medical institutes from the next academic year.
