Rajasthan NEET UG 2026 Irregularities: NTA Defends Security Measures, Says Exam Conducted Under Strict Protocols

Amid allegations of irregularities during the NEET UG 2026 examination in Rajasthan, the National Testing Agency has asserted that the medical entrance exam was conducted under strict security protocols and that the overall process remained smooth across centres. The clarification came after the Rajasthan Special Operations Group initiated action over suspected malpractice cases linked to the examination held on May 3.

In a statement posted on X, the NTA said it received inputs regarding alleged irregularities on May 7 and immediately shared them with central agencies for independent verification the next morning, according to The Indian Express.

The agency said it is cooperating closely with investigators by providing technical support and examination-related data. Reassuring candidates and parents, the NTA stressed that the integrity of genuine aspirants remains unaffected and urged students not to panic while investigations continue. Highlighting the security measures adopted during the examination, the agency said question papers were transported in GPS-tracked vehicles with unique watermark identifiers, centres were monitored through AI-assisted CCTV surveillance linked to a central control room, biometric verification was conducted for all candidates, and 5G jammers were installed to prevent unauthorised communication during the test.
