Anxiety and depression a concern during pandemic, warns WHO

WHO warns a sharp increase in the prevalence of anxiety and depression related to the Covid-19 pandemic, among who were socially isolated or quarantined. A scientific brief released by the WHO says, in the first year of the pandemic the global prevalence of anxiety and depression increased by a massive 25%.
Distance and lack of support from their loved ones has been the main root cause of suicidal thoughts among health care professionals. The Covid-19 pandemic did scare people to a greater extent with highest mortality so far. Loneliness and fear of death of close ones triggered a lot of disturbance in mental health. But we all can overcome this.
