Saffron famously consumed for its flavour also is known for its health benefits. Diabetes is one of the major medical problems which can lead to damage to cells or organs in various parts of the body. Its complications are reported from time to time. A recent study in Diabetes & Metabolic Syndrome: Clinical Research & Reviews suggests that saffron can modulate inflammatory pathways in patients with diabetes.
