Over 1.79 lakh new cases in India, Omicron tally crosses 4k mark

Covid-19 third wave supposedly to cause greater damage with its new variant omicron, the threat continues to prevail with increase in occurence of  positive cases and deaths. India on Monday reported 1,79,723 new Coronavirus cases and 146 deaths .

The Omicron count, in the mean time, remained at 4,033, with Maharashtra (1,216) proceeding to top the count. Proper measures to handle the current health status and contain the contigency are must to manage the Covid-19 pandemic.

The country on Monday started overseeing the third 'preparatory portion' to need gatherings — medical care and forefront laborers and those above age of 60 years old with comorbidities. Need of health care facilities and health professionals will increase drastically and management of medical care will be much harder with predictions of more rise in cases.
