Aiming to meet the shortage of doctors in government hospitals, the Rajasthan Medical Education Department has announced the implementation of a new bond policy in all government medical colleges run under the Government and Rajasthan Medical Education Society (RajMES) from the academic session 2025-2026.

Under this bond system, the medical students pursuing postgraduation (PG) will have to submit a service bond undertaking of Rs 25 lakh to Rs 1.5 crore at the time of admission, depending on their specialities. They will have to pay the bond amount if they do not wish to serve in the State Government hospitals for two years after completing their course.
