World Heart Day is observed every year on September 29 to increase awareness of cardiovascular diseases and how to control them to eliminate their global impact. The World Health Organization established the international holiday in collaboration with World Heart Federation.

Cardiovascular diseases (CVDs) are a group of disorders of the heart and blood vessels.
