1,660 MD, MS, Diploma, DM, MCh seats in Delhi- Here's complete NMC 2026-27 seat matrix breakup

New Delhi: Altogether 1660 MD, MS, Diploma, DM and MCh medical seats are available in Delhi for the academic year 2026-2027, according to the seat matrix recently released by the National Medical Commission (NMC).

The seats are spread across government and deemed medical institutions in the national capital. The matrix includes postgraduate courses in clinical and non-clinical specialities, along with a number of DM and MCh super-speciality seats.

The National Medical Commission (NMC) recently released a seat matrix showing a total of 63,177 MD, MS, Diploma, DM and MCh medical seats for the academic year 2026-2027. Further, the NMC has clarified that the Seat Matrix does not include the seats in respect of applications received for an increase in intake of existing PG courses or for the commencement of new PG courses for the Academic Year 2026–27.

Postgraduate seats

At Hamdard Institute of Medical Sciences & Research, New Delhi, 49 MD/MS seats are available. These include 4 MD General Medicine seats, 2 MS ENT seats, 4 MS Obstetrics and Gynaecology seats, 3 MD Community Medicine seats, 3 MD Anatomy seats, 3 MS Orthopaedics seats, 3 MD Radio-Diagnosis seats, 4 MD Paediatrics seats, 4 MD Pharmacology seats, 3 MS Ophthalmology seats, 3 MD Microbiology seats, 3 MD Pathology seats, 4 MD Anaesthesiology seats, 4 MS General Surgery seats and 2 MD Biochemistry seats.
