208 Seats Available For Sponsored DNB Post MBBS, Post Diploma Courses, NBE releases seat matrix, check out details
Delhi: National Board of Examinations (NBE) has announced the indicative seat matrix for Sponsored DNB (Post MBBS and Post Diploma) courses 2023 admission session.
A total of 208 seats are available for Sponsored DNB (Post MBBS and Post Diploma) courses. Post MBBS DNB courses have 163 seats, and Post Diploma courses have 45 seats. The detailed seat matrix is enclosed in the notice below.
The final seat matrix shall be notified before the conduct of Centralized merit-based online counselling for admission to Sponsored DNB (Post MBBS and Post Diploma) seats.
The list of the sponsored seats released has been finalized only after satisfying the criteria indicated in points 1, 3, and 4 in the eligibility criteria below. Still, it may be noted that all these sponsored seats may not be available for counselling as the final number of seats to be included in the counselling depends on the fulfilment of criteria number 3 from the eligibility criteria. Similarly, some new departments may also be added to the below list later, subject to the fulfilment of all required criteria.
NBEMS started Sponsored seat scheme from the 2020 admission session.
According to this scheme, a sponsored seat is granted to an accredited hospital subject to the fulfilment of the following eligibility criteria –
1. The accredited department should have at least 3 non-sponsored seats in the concerned speciality.
2. The hospital should have opted for / asked for the inclusion of all the non-sponsored seats in the counselling of the 2023 admission session in the concerned speciality.
3. The department should have completed at least 1 year of accreditation.
4. There should be an additional (surplus) faculty in the department duly approved by the NBEMS to accommodate the sponsored candidate.
The Sponsored seats are earmarked for regular In-Service doctors. The eligibility criteria for the candidates who will be allocated the sponsored seat (For Broad Specialty as well as Direct 6 Year Courses) are as under –
1. The candidate should be NEET – PG 2023 qualified.
2. The candidate should be employed on a regular basis with the sponsoring Government organization.
3. The candidate shall have to obtain a study leave, a No Objection Certificate, and fulfil other requirements per the terms and conditions of the organization where the candidate is employed.
4. The stipend for the entire period of DNB training shall be borne by the sponsoring Government organization.
5. The candidate shall be required to participate in the centralized merit-based counselling through which sponsored seats shall be allocated strictly in order of inter se merit.
Eligibility Criteria for Sponsored DNB (Post MBBS) seats –
1. Candidates who are working in a Government (State/Central/Autonomous/PSUs, etc.) organization on a regular basis are eligible for Sponsored DNB (Post MBBS) seats.
2. Candidates must be in possession of an MBBS degree/Provisional Pass Certificate recognized as per the provisions of the Indian Medical Council Act 1956 and possess a permanent/provisional registration certificate of MBBS qualification issued by the Medical Council of India/ State Medical Council.
3. Must have “Qualified” NEET PG 2023.
Eligibility Criteria for Sponsored DNB (Post Diploma) Seats –
1. Candidates who are working in a Government (State/Central/Autonomous/PSUs, etc.) organization on a regular basis are eligible for Sponsored DNB (Post Diploma) seats.
2. Candidates who have passed the final examination leading to the award of Post Graduate Diploma from Indian Universities, which are duly recognized as per provisions of Indian Medical Council Act 1956, Govt. of India i.e. have passed final examinations for Postgraduate diploma on or before 28th February 2023.
3. Candidate must have “Appeared” in DNB-PDCET 2023.
All such candidates who fulfil the aforesaid eligibility criteria and are desirous of opting for the sponsored DNB (Post MBBS and Post Diploma) seat must submit their request to their parent organization. The Cadre Controlling Authority should issue a NOC in favour of candidates and submit it to NBEMS. The duly filled and signed NOC should be submitted to reg.cc@natboard.edu.in latest by 31st July 2023. The format of NOC is enclosed in the notice below.
Centralized merit-based online counselling for Sponsored DNB seats shall be conducted afterwards. The detailed schedule of online counselling shall be notified in due course.
