Agra: Taking strict action against three final-year MBBS students belonging to Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar University, a case under IT Act has been registered against the students for trying to cheat in the exam using a micro Bluetooth device in their ears.
At first the University did not take any action apart from marking their answer sheets as "using unfair means". However, students' organizations started creating ruckus in the campus and responding to it, a case was registered against the students on Monday, adds News 18.
Earlier it was decided that the institute would take action against the students on the basis of the recommendations made by the examination committee, adds TOI.

As per the latest media report by the Times of India, the incident took place on Saturday, when around 31 MBBS final-year students belonging to the self-financed FH Medical College had appeared for a surgery exam.
News 18 adds that it was the supplementary examination of the 2016 batch. The three-hours long exam, which started from 10.00 a.m. had taken place at the Institute of Engineering and Technology in Khandari campus of the University.
Speaking to TOI, the University officials informed that 30 minutes after the commencement of the examination, the invigilator on duty heard a student murmuring. The invigilator observed the student for some time and noticed that the student was pressing an object on the lower side of his chest. Suspicious, the student was searched and the micro Bluetooth device in the ears, along with the SIM card inserted circuit attached to the vest was found.
Following this, the invigilator informed the senior officials and all the other students were also checked. Same devices were found in the possession of two other students.
While commenting on the issue, the controller of examination, Ajay Krishna Yadav told the daily, "A report concerning three MBBS final-year students caught using unfair means during an exam has been received. A hi-tech Bluetooth device and a SIM-inserted circuit used for cheating were recovered from these students. The matter is being investigated in detail by the university's committee."
"The answer sheets of the students were marked as "using unfair means" and they were sealed along with the devices recovered from them. They were issued new answer sheets to continue their exam," said VK Saraswat, the in-charge of the examination centre and director of the engineering institute of the University.
