300 MD, MS seats up for grabs at Chhattisgarh Medical Colleges this academic year

Raipur: In a recent notification, the Directorate of Medical Education (DMER), Chhattisgarh has released the PG Medical (MD/MS) Seat Matrix 2021.

As per the notification dated 29.12.2021, there are a total number of 300 PG medical seats in Chhattisgarh. Among these 300 seats, 201 belong to the Government medical colleges including Government medical colleges in Raipur, Bilaspur, Raigarh, and Jagdalpur and Medical College Rajnandgaon, and 99 belong to private institutes including RIMS Raipur, and Shri Shankaracharya Institute of Medical Sciences, Bhilai.

Among the 201 PG Medical seats in Government medical colleges, 142 seats are in Government Medical College Raipur, 36 seats in Government Medical College Bilaspur, 10 seats in Government Medical College Jagdalpur, 6 seats in Government Medical College Raigarh, and 7 seats in Government Medical College Rajnandgaon.

On the other hand, among the 99 PG Medical seats in private medical colleges, 42 seats are in RIMS Medical College Raipur and 57 seats belong to Shri Shankaracharya Institute of Medical Sciences, Bhilai.

Institute-wise Break Up of PG Medical Seats:

Pt. Jawahar Lal Nehru Memorial Medical College:

Raipur-based Pt. Jawahar Lal Nehru Memorial Medical College has a total number of 142 PG Medical seats, among which 71 seats belong to All India Quota.

The total number of 142 seats include 10 seats in MD Anaesthesiology, 4 seats in MD Anatomy, 4 seats in MD Biochemistry, 3 seats in MD Dermatology, Venereology, and Leprosy, 17 seats in MD General Medicine, 14 seats in MS General Surgery, 12 seats in MS Obs & Gynae, 8 seats in MS Opthalmology, 6 seats in MS Orthopedics, 3 seats in MS Otorhinolaryngology, 11 seats in MD Pediatrics, 11 seats in MD Pathology, 2 seats in MD Pharmacology, 2 seats in MD Physiology, 9 seats in MD Preventive Social Medicine, 12 seats in MD Radio Diagnosis, 6 seats in MD Radio Therapy, 3 seats in MD Respiratory Medicine, 5 seats in MD Microbiology.

Chhattisgarh Institute of Medical Sciences:

Among the total number of 36 PG medical seats at Chhattisgarh Institute of Medical Sciences, 18 seats belong to All India Quota seats.

Specialty-wise the institute has 1 seats in MD Community Medicine, 3 seats MD Anatomy, 2 seats in MD Forensic Medicine, 2 seats in MS ENT, 4 seats in MD Biochemistry, 3 seats in MD Microbiology, 4 seats in MD Pediatrics, 5 seats in MD Pharmacology, 3 seats in MS Opthalmology, 4 seats in MD Anesthesiology, 2 seats in MD Obs & Gyn, 3 seats in MD Dermatology, Venereology, Leprosy.

Late Baliram Kashyap Memorial Government Medical College:

At Late Baliram Kashyap Memorial Government Medical College, there are a total number of 10 PG medical seats, and among them 5 seats belong to All India Quota.

Among the 10 PG medical seats, 3 seats are in MD Forensic Medicine, 2 seats are in MS Opthalmology, and 5 seats are in MD Community Medicine.

Late Shri Lakhi Ram Agrawal Memorial Government Medical College:

There are a total number of 6 PG Medical Seats at Late Shri Lakhi Ram Agrawal Memorial Government Medical College and 3 of them belong to All India Quota.

Among the 6 seats, the Institute has 3 seats in MD Physiology, and 3 seats in MD Community Medicine.

Bharat Ratna Late Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Memorial Medical College Rajnandgaon:

Rajnandgaon-based Government Medical College has 7 PG medical seats and 3 of them belong to All India Quota.

Specialty-wise, among the 7 seats, 2 seats are in MS Opthalmology, 2 seats are in MS Otorhinolaryngology, and 3 seats are in MD Anaesthesiology.

Raipur Institute of Medical Sciences:

Private management-run Raipur Institute of Medical Sciences has a total number of 42 PG medical seats and 6 among them belong to NRI quota.

Specialty wise, the institute has 5 seats in Pathology, 6 seats in Community Medicine, 3 seats in Biochemistry, 4 seats in Microbiology, 5 seats in General Medicine, 3 seats in General Surgery, 4 seats in Orthopedic, 3 seats in Obstetrics & Gynaecology, 2 seats in Opthalmology, 2 seats in Pharmacology, and 5 seats in Anaesthesia.

Shri Shankaracharya Institute of Medical Sciences:

Among the 57 seats in Shri Shankaracharya Institute of Medical Sciences, 8 seats belong to the NRI quota.

The specialty wise break-up of PG medical seats at the institute includes 3 seats in MS Anatomy, 2 seats in MD Physiology, 4 seats in MD Biochemistry, 3 seats in MD Pharmacology, 2 seats in MD Forensic Medicine, 4 seats in MD Community Medicine, 5 seats in MD Pathology, 3 seats in MD Microbiology, 4 seats in MD Radio Diagnosis, 1 seat in MD Dermatology Venereology & Leprosy, 4 seats in MS Orthopedics, 1 seats in MS Otorhinolaryngology, 2 seats in MS Opthalmology, 2 seats in MS Gynaecology and Obstetrics, 2 seats in MD Paediatrics, 2 seats in MD Anaesthesiology, 5 seats in MS General Surgery, 2 seats in MD Psychiatry, 4 seats in General Medicine, and 2 seats in Respiratory Medicine (TB & Chest).
