AFMC notifies on MBBS admission screening process for candidates, Details

Pune : Through a recent notice, the Armed Forces Medical College Pune (AFMC) has informed the candidates about the admission screening process. 

The candidates are advised to take note of the schedule and guidelines issued by the institute as follows:

Based on the revised Merit List submitted by MCC (after their notification dated 28 Jan 2022 when registration portal of MCC was reopened) the list of candidates shortlisted for screening to be conducted at AFMC, Pune alongwith reporting date / time is given below. The list is in the order of NEET UG Roll number.

Candidates are required to report to OIC Admission Cell (Dhanvantari Auditorium Gate No.5), AFMC, Pune as per the schedule. No separate call letters for screening will be sent to the candidates. In case a candidate fails to appear on the stipulated date of screening, it will be assumed that he / she does not wish to appear for screening. No representation will be entertained later in thisregard.

The shortlisted candidates are required to confirm their attendance for the screening process at AFMC, Pune by 03 Feb 2022, 1700 h (5 pm) by sending an email titled 'Willingness to attend AFMC MBBS Admission Screening for NEET UG 2021, mentioning your NEET- UG Roll Number and NEET score to email Id :oicadmission@gmail.com

In view of COVID 19 Pandemic, the following precautions will be taken:-

(a) Only one parent/ guardian will be permitted to accompany the candidate.

(b) All are required to wear appropriate (N95 or triple layer) face masks.

Screening process:

Candidate are requested to read Information Brochure available on official website of college www.afmc.nic.in & www.afmcdg1d.gov.in thoroughly. The various stages of Admission screening will be as follows:-

 Identification and Verification of documents

 Test of English Language Comprehension, Logic & Reasoning (ToELR)

 Psychological Assessment Test(PAT)

 Interview by the Board ofOfficers

 Medical Examination & Medical Board

Reporting time for the Admission Screening Process for two slots at AFMC, Pune is 07.30 AM and 10.30 AM respectively as mentioned for each batch.

The candidates will undergo documents verification, ToELR& PAT and interview on the same day reporting. They will undergo Medical Examination, on the next day from 07.30 AM onwards.

The above process will take at least 02 days for completion. Candidates are required to make arrangements for their stay at Pune and return journey accordingly.

Requests regarding change of dates of interview:

Any request for change of Interview shall not be entertained except under exceptional circumstances. In such cases, the candidates may submit request regarding change of dates of interview by an email by 03 Feb 2022 1700h (5pm) titled 'Request for Change of Screening Date' mentioning your NEET-UG Roll Number and NEET score to email Id :oicadmission@gmail.com Request for change of date of interview over telephone / post or any other mode will not be entertained. Genuine cases will be accommodated on available days by OIC Admission Cell subject to approval of Dean & Dy Comdt. A confirmation mail will be sent to the candidates by OIC Admission Cell mentioning the new date & time of reporting for interview. Request for change of date of interview will notbe considered once the admission screening has commenced, i.e., after 04 Feb 2022 1700h (5 pm).

Documents to be brought while reporting for screening:- Candidates are required to bring the original and the self-attested true copies of the following documents:-

l) Gap Certificate (duly signed by Notary) – would be made in AFMC if required Required by MUHS
m) Proof of having passed class XII as a regular candidate
n) Character Certificate
o) Caste Certificate If applicable
p) Caste Validity certificate
q) Affidavit with FIR in case of duplicate certificate
r) Association of Indian Universities (AIU) Equivalence Certificate If applicable
s) Domicile Certificate If available
t) Domicile Certificate If applicable
u) Proof of income of parents
v) NCC certificate If applicable
Sports Certificate If applicable
x) Serving Certificate / Ex-serviceman certificate If applicable
y) Document Surrender Certificate If applicable
z) Certificate of Extracurricular activities and level ofrepresentation If applicable
aa) Coloured photograph of candidate with white background : 16 passport size & 16 stampsize.

Please note that you may be refused participation in Admission Screening Process if the above mentioned certificates/ documents are not presented for checking while reporting for the same. In case the above documents have been submitted at some other college/ institute, a certificate stating that the following documents have been deposited at the institute from the Dean/ Principal of the concerned hospital / institute is to be presented.

Candidates are advised to report on empty stomach on the day of Medical Examination and get their ear wax cleaned before reporting for the screening.

The fact that a candidate is being called for screening does not mean confirmation of your eligibilityfor admission. The eligibility will be checked at the time of screening as well as at subsequent stages of admission.

In case of the number of candidate (boys/ girls) reporting for screening is found to be inadequate, additional registered candidates may be called for screening. Candidates registered for AFMC whose scores are below the cut-off score of AFMC Screening are requested to keep a watch on the website for any updates.
