AFMS PG Medical admissions 2023: Priority V Candidates told to report On 21st August For Physical Counselling, details
Pune: Priority V (Civilian) candidates willing to take admission to the AFMS Institutions to pursue PG (MD/MS/MDS) courses and have mandatorily registered on the MCC website will have to report to AFMC, Pune, for physical counseling on the 21st August 2023. Armed Forces Medical College (AFMC) has announced this through a written notice.
Candidates are to report at Dhanvantari Hall in AFMC, Pune, on 21st August 2023 at 07:30 AM on an empty stomach for medical examination. Candidates reporting after 09:00 AM will not be allowed to participate in the AFMS counseling. The seats will be offered on 22nd August 2023 only to those candidates who are found Medically Fit.
There are total 48 seats available for MD/MS and MDS courses. MD/MS has 44 seats, and MDS has 4 seats. For MD/MS seats are available at AFMC Pune, Army Hosp (R&R) Delhi, INHS Asvini, Mumbai, CH (EC), Kolkata, CH (CC), Lucknow, and IAM, Bangalore, for MDS seats are available at AFMC Pune.

The Armed Forces Medical College (AFMC) is a leading medical training institute in Pune, India, in the state of Maharashtra. The college is managed by the Indian Armed Forces. Established in May 1948 as a post-graduate teaching institution. The institution primarily imparts training to medical undergraduates and postgraduates, dental postgraduates, nursing cadets, and paramedical staff. Patient care forms an integral part of its training curriculum. The institution is responsible for providing the entire pool of specialists and super specialists to the Armed Forces. The college is also involved in conducting research in various medical subjects as well as those aspects which would affect the morale and performance of the Armed Forces both in war and peace.
