AFRC fixes MBBS, MD Fees at Private Medical Colleges of Chhattisgarh
Raipur: Following its recent meeting, the Admission and Fee Regulatory Committee has fixed the MBBS and PG medical fees in the private medical colleges of Chhattisgarh.
As per the release from the Committee, the students need to pay between Rs 9.31 lakh and Rs 9.98 lakh per annum for pursuing MD-MS courses in the self-financing medical colleges of the State. Similarly, the MBBS fees at these medical colleges range between 7.45 lakh to 7.99 lakh per year.
This Fee Structure is valid for three private medical colleges in the State including Shri Shankaracharya Institute of Medical Sciences, Raipur Institute of Medical Sciences and Sri Balaji Institute of Medical Sciences.
In case of PG medical courses, the fee structure is applicable for the block period from 2021-2022 to 2023-2024. On the other hand, AFRC has fixed the MBBS fees at Sri Shankaracharya Institute and Raipur Institute for the block period from 2022-2023 to 2024-2025. In case of Sri Balaji Institite, the fees will remain valid until the academic year 2023-2024.
The Committee fixed the Fees after its meeting dated 13/01/2022. During the meeting the accounts of the concerned three medical colleges were examined. Further the Committee also considered the prevailing fees rates in the neighbouring states and the State of Chhattisgarh, took note of the per capita average income etc.
Referring to the recent meeting, the Fee Regulatory Committee mentioned in the recent notice, “The fees for MBBS course conducted in three private medical colleges and M.S./MD (PG) course conducted in two medical colleges of the state were earlier fixed provisionally."
"It has been formally determined and it has also been directed to the institutions that this fee will remain the full fee, will not charge any additional amount in the items of uniform, ID card, laboratory, various cultural programs, sports, NSS, building, furniture, equipment etc. And the facility of hostel and transportation will be optional for the students and in that also the fee will be charged by the institution on no profit no loss basis," the Committee further mentioned in the notice.
MBBS Fees:
The Committee has fixed the MBBS Fees at Shri Shankaracharya Institute of Medical Sciences at Rs 7,99, 187 per year upto course tenure of four year. In case of Raipur Institute of Medical Sciences, the Fees have been fixed at Rs 7,45,187 per year for four years and Rs 3,72,593.5 for half year.
In both of these medical colleges, the fee structure will remain valid up to the academic year 2024-2025.
The MBBS Fees at Sri Balaji Institute of Medical Sciences has been fixed at Rs 7,50,187 per year upto course tenure of four year and Rs 3,75,093.5 for half year. In this institute, the fees structure is applicable until the academic year 2023-2024.
PG Medical Fees (Clinical and Pre-Clinical/Para Clinical):
The PG medical Fees for Clinical Subjects at Shri Shankaracharya Institute of Medical Sciences has been fixed by the Committee at Rs 9,98,954 per year and the students need to pay Rs 7,99,187 on yearly basis for the pre-clinical or para-clinical courses.
In case of Raipur Institute of Medical Sciences, the committee has fixed the Clinical and Pre-clinical fees at Rs 9,31,484 and Rs 7,45,187 per year respectively.
For both of these institutes, the fees structure will remain valid up to the academic year 2023-2024.
