AIIMS changes DM Radiation Oncology subject name for INICET PG Medical Admissions 2021

New Delhi: Through a recent notice, the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) has announced the change in the name of subject for AIIMS Jodhpur for the INI CET PG July 2021 session with respect to PG medical admissions to MD, MS, DM, MDS, MCh courses this academic year.

According to the notification, the subject- Radiation Oncology (DM 6 Years) will now be called Radiotherapy and Oncology for admission to AIIMS Jodhpur offering 2 seats into the speciality.

In reference to the seat position published earlier, which mentions Radiation Oncology (DM 6 Years) & further communication received from AIIMS Jodhpur, the subject will now be read as under:

Medical Dialogues had earlier reported that 846 PG medical seats are available for INI-CET July 2021 session admissions to AIIMS, PGIMER, JIPMER and NIMHANS this academic year.

227 MD/MS/MDS/DM/MCh seats are available at AIIMS New Delhi, the maximum of the lot, followed by PGI and JIPMER with 125 and 124 MD, MS and MDS courses.

AIIMS Jodhpur is offering 101 MD/MS/MDS/DM/MCh seats to candidates as per the seat position. AIIMS Patna has 63, Raipur has 56, Bhubaneswar has 46 and Nagpur is having 32 seats. Bhopal branch has 35 PG seats for candidates.

Rishikesh branch has the lowest count with 12 MD/MS/MCh seats. Meanwhile, NIMHANS is offering admissions to MD/DM/MCh courses with 25 seats.

The notification further mentions that as per the final seat position received from the respective Institute, the following changes in the seat position for this year:
(1) AIIMS, New Delhi: Eight (8) more seats have been added in AIIMS New Delhi.
(2) AIIMS, Bhopal: One (1) more seat has been added in AIIMS Bhopal
(3) AIIMS, Bhubaneswar: Two (2) more seats have been added in AIIMS Bhubaneswar.
(4) AIIMS, Jodhpur: The Total seats of AIIMS Jodhpur remains unchanged.
(5) AIIMS, Nagpur: The Total seats of AIIMS Nagpur remains unchanged.
(6) AIIMS, Patna: One (1) more seat has been added in AIIMS Patna.
(7) AIIMS, Raipur: The Total seats of AIIMS Raipur remains unchanged.
(8) AIIMS, Rishikesh: Four (4) more seats have been added in AIIMS Rishikesh.
(9) JIPMER, Puducherry: Three (3) more seats have been added in JIPMER Puducherry.
(10) NIMHANS, Bengaluru: The Total seats of NIMHANS Bengaluru remains unchanged.
(11) PGIMER, Chandigarh: Ten (10) seats have been added in PGIMER Chandigarh.

Reservation for the Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PWBD) for AIIMS New Delhi & 7 other AIIMS
a) For MD/MS:
As per provisions (Chapter VI Clause 32) of the Rights of the Persons with Disabilities Act. 2016 Five percent of seats shall be reserved for Persons (Indian nationals) with Benchmark Disabilities (PWBD) The reservation will be provided on horizontal basis, as per their rank in order of merit in examination. Vacant seat, if any, shall be offered to the candidate from the general/relevant category.
