Avail Reset Button to change category for NEET PG Counselling 2021: MCC tells candidates

New Delhi: Through a recent notice, the Medical Counselling Committee, MCC of DGHS, has reiterated its facility of reset button for NEET PG Counselling candidates appearing for Round 1 session. This time, the MCC has informed that the candidates who intend to change their respective categories can also avail this facility.

Earlier, the MCC issued a notice informed about the facility for 'Reset Button' saying that it may be availed by only those Candidates who wish to change/alter/add a type of Counselling i.e. All India/ Central/Deemed University/AFMS/DNB for the Round 1 of NEET PG Counselling, 2021. Such Candidates should RESET their registration and change/alter/add Counselling type by paying the requisite fee, the notice had read.

Now after receiving requests from NEET-PG, 2021 aspirants who have inadvertently filled OBC category in the registration form of NBE, the MCC has issued another notice informing about the reset button.

The notice said, "As per the Counselling policy of MCC of DGHS, MoHFW, only the Central list of OBCNCL is followed. It was at a later stage the candidates realised that they do not belongto OBC-NCL category of the Central OBC list. Hence, keeping in view the said circumstances and as a onetime measure, MCC of DGHS, MoHFW is allowing 'Reset Button' option which may be availed by only those Candidates who wish to change their category from SC/ST/OBC/EWS/PwD to UR category for Round 1 of NEET PG Counselling, 2021 and subsequent rounds by paying the requisite fee."

Rest of the Candidates who do not wish to carry out the said changes may not avail the said facility.

Also, once a Candidate change their category from SC/ST/OBC/EWS/PwD to UR category they will be deemed to be UR for further rounds of counselling and they will not be able to change their category back to SC/ST/OBC/EWS/PwD. It is again informed that the Candidates can avail the facility of 'Reset Button' only once which has already started and will be available till 11:00 A.M. of 17/01/2022.
