Gujarat DME releases mop up round schedule for PG Ayurveda admissions, Details

Gujarat: The Director of Medical Education (DME) has recently announced the schedule for the Mop-Up (offline) round of counselling and non-reported list for MD/MS (Ayurved).

As per the notice, those candidates who have given online consent for the Mop-Up round will be allowed to participate in the Mop-Up round. The counselling process will happen on 12th April 2022 at Lecture Hall No.-1, Ground Floor, GMERS Medical College, Gandhinagar. The verification of documents will be done on the same day at 2:00 pm, and the seat allotment will happen at 2.30 pm.

The candidates will be called as per the merit rank and will be allotted admission on vacant seats as well as a vacancy arises due to an up-gradation of seats during counselling. During the mop-up round of counselling, candidates will be offered seats as per the previous closure, vacancy and merit rank. If they are not willing to take admission in the offered seat, they can refuse the admission. In such a case, their previous admission will remain as it is.

DME has further instructed the candidates that no proxy and authority will be allowed in this round. It is an offline counselling process, so candidates must come in person as per the schedule of their merit numbers 30 minutes prior. Till the counselling authority announces to leave the premises, the candidates shouldn't leave.

Candidates should be aware of the number of seats vacant in the Mop-Up round before they appear for the counselling process. The admission committee shall allot the seats as per available vacancies, and also vacancies arise due to cascading effect of that particular seats. In any circumstances, no cancellation of seats for the candidates will be made after their Mop-Up round counselling.

Eligibility for Mop-Up round

The candidates who are included in the merit list irrespective of -

1. Allotment/non-allotment of admission rounds of 1 or 2 or 3.

2. Payment/non-payment of tuition fees in Axis Bank in rounds of 1 or 2 or 3.

3. Reporting/non-reporting at help-centre in rounds of 1 or 2 or 3.

4. Reporting/non-reporting at admitted Institute in rounds of 1 or 2 or 3.

5. Cancelled/non-cancelled admission of rounds of 1 or 2 or 3.

Non-eligibility for Mop- Up round

The candidates, who have secured admission in 15% AIQ/ Deemed/Central Universities MD/MS (Ayurveda) seats of other state counselling and enlisted in the Ministry Of AYUSH, New Delhi, published the list of in-eligible candidates for participation in PG Ayurveda.

Candidates note that online consent is needed for participation in the Mop-Up round. To participate in the mop-up round, the candidates have to log in to the website http:// http://www.medadmgujarat.org/pgayus/home.aspx using their User-ID and Password and can give the online consent till 9th April 2022 till 12:00 pm.

If the candidates fail to give the online consent within the stipulated time frame, they will not be allowed to participate in the counselling process. After giving consent, candidates will have to take a printout of consent available in registration details, which shows the date and time of consent given by them. Candidates will have to bring a copy of online consent during offline counselling.

Admission of previous rounds need not be cancelled for participation in this round. If the candidates want to cancel their admission of the previous round, they can cancel it at the time of the Mop-up round of counselling. Tuition fees will be refunded at the end of the whole admission process.

The candidates who have taken admission in the previous round have to bring the original admission order of ACPPGMEC and receipt of paid tuition fees. Without original documents and prescribed fees, the candidate will not be granted admission under any circumstances.

The candidates have to pay tuition fees/difference in tuition fees of one term by cash/Demand Draft in favour of "ACPUGMEC" payable at Gandhinagar at a bank facility provided by the Admission Committee. If the candidate has paid tuition fees for admission for previous rounds, fees will be adjusted according to it. Excess fees will be refunded at the end of the whole admission process.

DME has made it clear that candidates who will not be able to attend the counselling schedule within the given time frame will not be given admission. They will lose the right to claim admission.

Documents needed

1. All BAMS mark sheets.

2. Internship completion certificate specifies the 12 months internship completion date, i.e., on or before 31st December 2021.

3. Copy of AIA-PGET-2021 marksheet.

4. Provisional / Permanent Registration of Gujarat Board of Ayurvedic & Unani System of Medicine OR Central Council of Indian medicine (renewal).

5. Document showing the place of birth& Date of Birth & Indian Citizenship (School leaving Certificate/ Transfer Certificate/ Passport/ Birth Certificate).

6. For SEBC, ST and SC Category: Cast certificate issued by Competent Authorities of Gujarat State only.

7. For SEBC Category: Non-creamy layer certificate (Parishistha '4' in Gujarati/English) issued by Competent Authorities of Gujarat State only dated on or after 1st April 2019.

8. For EWS (Economically Weaker Sections) Category: EWS certificate issued by Competent Authorities of Gujarat State only i) Copy of Passport - if Citizenship is Dual/ Foreign.

9. Tuition fees consent: Take the print of soft copy available on the admission committee website and submit either in Gujarati or English.

Further to the announcements made by DME, a total of 8 candidates have not reported after round 3 of MD/MS (Ayurved).
