MUHS Initiates Process Of Granting Continuation Of Affiliation For Homeopathy Colleges, details

Maharashtra: Maharashtra University of Health Sciences (MUHS) has initiated the continuation of affiliation/ extension of affiliation (if applicable) of affiliated Colleges for the academic year 2023-24 for Homeopathy Colleges.

The inspection will commence from 15.03.2023 onwards. The Dean / Principal of the colleges is required to update the college website and keep the information ready for verification by the LIC Team. The colleges that fail to update their information on the college website will not be granted affiliation.

MUHS has asked the colleges to maintain infrastructure, teaching staff, and other requirements as per the latest MSR, failing which affiliation granted will be revoked by the University at any stage.

The University has finalized Local Inquiry Committee (LIC) Proforma for inspections. The Colleges must go through LIC’s Inspection Proforma and fill up requisite information, including all Annexures, for verification by LIC Team.

As instructed earlier during inspections for A.Y.2022-23, the Colleges have created the “MUHS Mandate” tab on the homepage of the College website. Colleges must upload information on all Annexures on the College website, and the information should be kept Year-wise and Annexures-wise for 5 years.

The University has taken up a paperless initiative, gearing up for online transmission of question papers and onscreen evaluation of answer books. However, the college must submit hard copies of a few Annexures. I, V, VI (a & b), X(a, b & c), XI(a, b, c & d), XII(a & b) & XIII to the University. Copies of the rest of the Annexures must be uploaded on the respective college website.

Maharashtra University of Health Sciences (MUHS) is a higher education institution in Nashik, Maharashtra. The University was established on June 3, 1998, by the Government of Maharashtra through an ordinance. The State Legislature passed the ordinance, and the Maharashtra University of Health Sciences was declared open by the governor of Maharashtra on June 10, 1998. All colleges and institutions imparting education in health science in the state of Maharashtra have been affiliated with this new University under Section 6(3) of the Act.
