Cheating during MBBS exams at Siddhartha Medical College, Govt orders probe
Andhra Pradesh: The Andhra Pradesh government has taken a strict step against the reports of mass cheating during the MBBS supplementary exams. The Health Minister Satyakumar has ordered the Director of Medical Education (DME) to conduct a comprehensive inquiry into the incident.
A controversy erupted after reports of large-scale cheating during the recently held supplementary examinations at the Government Siddhartha Medical College in Vijayawada. Last week, a few students were caught cheating at the Siddhartha Medical College, when the MBBS final year General Medical and MBBS second year Pharmacology supplementary exams were conducted. The Health Minister expressed strong displeasure over this and demanded immediate action.
According to Telugu360 media reports, the minister has directed officials to conduct a thorough investigation and submit a comprehensive report on the incident. He particularly directed officials to focus on both systemic failures and individual accountability, who may be responsible for the exam malpractices.
