DCI directs dental colleges to upload details of BDS candidates admitted this year

New Delhi: Through a recent notice Dental Council of India (DCI) has directed dental colleges regarding uploading the details of candidates admitted in BDS Course on DCI Website. for the academic session 2021-2022.

The candidates selected under state quota after the 1st round of counseling can join the college till 7th February 2022. 2nd round of counseling will happen between 9th February 2022 till 18th February 2022 for All India Quota / Deemed / Central Universities / Institutes / ESIC/ AIIMS / JIPMER / AFMS and between 15th February 2022 to 18th February 2022 for state quota. The last date of joining for the candidates who are selected after the 2nd round of counseling is 24th February 2022 for state quota and 26th February 2022 for All India Quota / Deemed! Central Universities / Institutes / ESIC/ AIIMS / JIPMER / AFMS.

Online Stray Vacancy round will happen on 16th March 2022 for state quota and between 21st March 2022 till 22nd March 2022 for All India Quota / Deemed/ Central Universities / Institutes / ESIC/ AIIMS / JIPMER / AFMS. The last date of joining for candidates selected after the Stray Vacancy round is 20th March 2022 for state quota and 26th March 2022 for All India Quota / Deemed! Central Universities / Institutes / ESIC/ AIIMS / JIPMER / AFMS.

2nd Mop Up Round for BDS Seats will happen between 22nd March 2022 till 25th March 2022 for state quota and 28th March 2022 till 2nd April 2022 for All India Quota / Deemed / Central Universities / Institutes / ESIC/ AIIMS / JIPMER / AFMS. The last date of joining after the 2nd Mop-Up Round is 30th March 2022 for state quota and 6th April 2022 for All India Quota / Deemed / Central Universities / Institutes / ESIC/ AIIMS / JIPMER / AFMS.

Online Stray Vacancy Round will happen between 1st April 2022 till 6th April 2022 for state quota and 7th April 2022 till 11th April 2022 for All India Quota / Deemed / Central Universities / Institutes / ESIC/ AIIMS / JIPMER / AFMS. The last date of joining for candidates selected after the Stray Vacancy round is 11th April for both state quota and All India Quota / Deemed / Central Universities / Institutes / ESIC/ AIIMS / JIPMER / AFMS.

DCI has stated that the last date to admit the candidates is 11th April 2022 as per the Schedule for UG Counselling for the academic year 2021-22. The college authorities have been asked to upload the details of students admitted in BDS Course at their dental institution on the DCI website using their new already allotted login credentials for admissions (https://portaLdciindia.qovjn/loqin), on or before the last date of joining 11th April 2022.

If the college authorities claim any admission after 12:00 am of 11th April 2022, then Section lOB of the Dentists (Amendment) Act, 1993 and Section 16A of the Dentists Act, 1948 shall be attracted, and it shall be presumed that the college authorities have not admitted such candidates in BDS Course at their college.

DCI has instructed the college authority to ensure smooth uploading of the details of candidates and to avoid the unnecessary delay, undue pressure, and technical fault on the network at the last moment of cut-off date to make its efforts to upload the details of candidates gradually, immediately after the date of joining of candidate of each round of counseling. The college should not upload the details at the last moment.

Only uploaded details of students on the DCI Website shall be considered, and any detail of students received in any other format viz, e-mail, or hard copy shall not be considered. DCI will not consider any o request for an extension of time to upload the above details of candidates or any other excuse or reason of technical fault, etc.
