DME Chhattisgarh begins Registration Process For BDS Special Stray Vacancy Round, Details
Chhattisgarh: The Director of Medical Education (DME Chhattisgarh) has announced the schedule for the special stray vacancy round for BDS admission for the leftover seats.
As per the notice, the candidates can register from 8.11.2023 (9:00 hrs) to 9.11.2023 (14:00 hrs). They will have to pay a registration fee of Rs 1000 for UR category and Rs 500 for the SC/ST category. For further details about the counselling process, the candidates need to follow the DME website.
As per the notice, Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) Directorate General of Health Services, Govt. of India vide Notice Ref. U-11011/01/2023-MEC dated 31/10/2023 has announced the conduction of a special stray vacancy round for NEET UG (MBBS, BDS, BSc Nursing) courses to prevent wastage of precious seats. This special stray vacancy round will be the last round for undergraduate courses for this academic year, i.e. 2023.
Candidates who are not holding any seat either in All India Quota or State Quota are eligible to participate in the special stray vacancy round. However, candidates who did not join their seats allotted through MCC Round-3 onwards are ‘Not Eligible’ to participate.
All registered candidates, irrespective of their category, are required to pay an additional refundable security deposit of Rs. 50,000 for participation in the special stray vacancy round. The security deposit of candidates who do not join their allotted seat in a special stray vacancy round will be forfeited, and such candidates will be debarred from taking the NEET exam for the next year.
